Terms of Use

1. Overview

Parefy is an iOS application that provides PDF tools including compression, merging, splitting, signing, extracting, page management, password protection, and photos-to-PDF conversion. All processing is performed locally on your device.

2. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Parefy on devices you own or control, subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the app or any part of it
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Sublicense, lease, or lend the app to third parties
• Remove any proprietary notices from the app

3. Free Tier & Pro Plans

Parefy offers a free tier with usage limits and two Pro options:

Plan	Details
Free	Limited file size (25 MB), page count (30 pages), and a monthly cap on operations. Specific limits are shown in the app.
Annual Pro	Auto-renewable subscription billed yearly. Unlocks all features with no limits for the subscription period.
Lifetime Pro	One-time purchase. Unlocks all features permanently with no recurring charges.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

• Subscriptions are managed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's subscription terms.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• The annual subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings under Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods. Refund requests should be directed to Apple.

5. File Processing

• Compression: Output files may have lower image quality than originals. Specific compression ratios are not guaranteed.
• Merging & splitting: Structure is modified. Metadata, bookmarks, or annotations may not transfer perfectly in all cases.
• Signing: Signatures are visual overlays, not cryptographic digital signatures. They do not provide legal non-repudiation.
• Password protection: Uses standard PDF encryption. Security depends on password strength.

6. Your Content

You retain full ownership of all files you process with Parefy. We claim no rights, ownership, or license over your content. Since all processing is local, we never have access to your files.

7. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on what data we do and do not collect. In summary:

• All PDF processing happens on your device
• No files are uploaded to any server
• No account or personal information is required
• Optional analytics are off by default and fully anonymized

8. Intellectual Property

The Parefy app, including its design, code, and branding, is the property of the developer. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved. You retain ownership of your files.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Parefy is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The app will be error-free or uninterrupted
• Specific compression ratios or output quality will be achieved
• The app will meet all of your requirements
• Results will be suitable for any particular legal, regulatory, or archival purpose

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of Parefy.

Our total liability for any claim arising from use of the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app or subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the app or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the app if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the app is revoked. Sections on warranties, liability, indemnification, and governing law survive termination.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of Parefy after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
